I Want My Refund Torrid
I do not have enough hours in the day to do all of the things I'm scheduled to do, and to have to address this issue is very disruptive. On Nov.
13 I visited the TORRID in Bowie Town Center in Bowie, MD. I had ordered over $400 worth of clothing from TORRID for performances I had scheduled. I ordered the things online to be delivered at the store. When I got to the store to open the box, none of the items in the box were what I ordered.
It wasn't that they were the wrong size. They were not the items. I told the clerk. She told me I had to call customer service on my phone (first red flag that a problem was emerging with customer service).
Called customer service and the first person told me I could not get a refund because I paid through PayPal (making the erroneous assumption that I don't have a PayPal Mastercard with the ability to have the refund sent back to the card). I ask to speak to her supervisor. The second person says I have to FedEx the box back to them before I get a refund. I am still in the store.
Why the *** do I have to do anything other than just get my refund and be able to leave? This person is beyond rude. I ask to speak to her manager. This third "manager" on the phone says the same thing.
I do not listen further and demand to speak to another manager. (Why are there so many managers with no authority?) This last person gives the impression they are about to give me my refund and asks to speak to the clerk in the store and tells them THE SAME THING that I need to send the box in. I am done at this point. I take the *** box with the intention of making it my mission to inform everyone NOT TO SHOP AT THIS STORE anymore.
The kicker...the nearest FedEx to me is located on the national harbor in the Gaylord Hotel. I had to pay $10 to send this blasted box to TORRID.
So, they now owe me additional money. I want my refund, TORRID!
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $406.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Torrid Cons: Never received the item.

What is Torrid's policy for returning gifts? I have some clothes a friend bought me, but I don't like the fit of Torrid stuff.
I have the receipt, but I don't want my friend to know it was returned as it will hurt her feelings. Will Torrid give me cash?
No, you can only get a gift card or have the money put back on the original card. But they will exchange it out for you, and if itโs the same price you it will be a straight swap. If itโs clearance your SOL
Wtf torrid, their return policy is anything can be returned in stores or mailed back, even if its bought online. Iโve done it a million times because the closest torrid to me is an hour away.
You didn't happen to get a black coat that I order ed way back in October that they never sent me did you?
awww you ordered online which many times means special ordered merch and is not carried in store or you'd have just bought it in store right?
you're then told the process to get a refund and you don't like it? sucks but it's on you for NOT having looked up their return policy ahead of time.
in this day and age ANY ONLINE purchase needs to be treated with skepticism and always check any/all fine print especially RETURNS policies.
you kept getting the same answer from the "managers" because that is their policy . they are NOT obligated to just bow down and give you your money back.
they could however have offered a compromise of some type of discount and/or rebate on the current items to be resent. and they COULD have offered to fax/email you a label to print out so that the shipping charges are on them.
I know this is possible because where I work we deal with this from time to time and MANY companies will offer to send a shipping label so that something can be sent back at NO cost to us.
so in closing, next time read the fine print and don't leave out any details because from the way you reacted and said you took the ***** box it leads me to believe you either grew loud/angry/and/or rude with the people on the phone/in store.
your lengthy response has no factual information; it is you hypothesizing on what happened with no knowledge on anything. Torrid admitted fault, apologized profusely and returned my money.
There was no lack of reading on my part. You probably were one of the fools I had the misfortune of having to deal with during this debacle.
You should speak with a rep at paypal, having paid through them will protect you.
Please don't shop there again.
I don't plan to. That is literally what I said in the video, so...yeah.
Nicely written. Just dispute the charge with your card company.
