Very disappointed in the customer service.

Work on your policies for normal humans who's plans change. Improve your shipping in general.

Improve your wait time when people call with questions.

Improve your Call Center Customer Service Training.

Bottom line...I will gladly shop elsewhere. This was a Horrid Torrid Experience

I'm human and changed my mind about an order I placed online with Torrid. I needed a dress for an event and later found out I wasn't going to be able to attend the event.

When I placed the order I was told it would take up to 10 businesses days for it to arrive at the Torrid store to pick-up. It took 15 business days to arrive...ordered it April 8 and it arrived April 27.

I called to cancel the order BEFORE it was shipped. I understand that you can cancel the order within an hour of placing the order or something like that...but lets be real people plans change. I called twice about this wasting even more time on-hold...and on-hold again to talk to a Lead/Supervisor. One of the Customer Service people said her supervisor wasn't available and then I asked again and oh I guess a Lead is available???

I get Torrid doesn't want people canceling orders left and right but this is just silly. I don't feel like I was asking for anything outrageous since the item hadn't shipped yet and had been sitting in limbo for weeks.

This would have SAVED the Torrid Company money if they had just helped me cancel the order... by not packaging the dress, not shipping the dress, gas money for the truck to drop it off at the store, etc... but they would rather follow POLICY.

So now I have to spend money in gas to drive to the local store, talk with an associate wasting their time, and wait who knows how long for a refund I may never see. The dress will either be shelved at the local location or an associate will have to repackage the dress to be shipped back to the Torrid Distribution center, gas to drive the truck, and an associate wasting their time opening the packaging and re-processing it.

We are still in America aren't we?

My heart will go on...it's just a dress and won't solve world peace or anything...but this seems like a lot of unnecessary busy work. I'll shop with Amazon or just about any other company next time when I need an outfit.

Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.

Monetary Loss: $43.

Preferred solution: I don't care to hear back from the company I just needed to vent my frustrations. I'm hoping they can use my feedback to overall improve their company..

Torrid Cons: Refund policy, Company doesnt think outside the box.

I am having the same issue. except I want the dresses to show up.

I am a bride to be and need these dresses in. when I was at the checkout online the summery never said it would take 14 days to deliver to store.

I tried calling and telling them id pay for faster shipping but they said they could not do anything. which doesn't make since cause it hasn't even shipped yet!!!
